The front cover shall bear the title of the thesis, the name of the author, the name of the degree for which the thesis is submitted and the year of submission. The spine of the thesis shall bear the name of the author, the degree for which the thesis is submitted, the name of the supervising Department or Institute and the year of submission.

From MT19 y ou must submit your digital examiners’ copy of your thesis online, via the Research Thesis Digital Submission (RTDS) portal, no later than the last day of the vacation immediately following the term in which your application for the appointment of examiners was made.
Attending Congregation. Please note: if you wish to attend congregation, you will need to register for the ceremony by the registration deadline (available from the Ceremonies webpages below), and you will need to have uploaded your final thesis and received your pass list by pass list deadline.

Step 1 Bind the Final Hard-Bound Thesis; The final submitted copy of your thesis must be bound as follows: Binding Colour - Standard Green (Arbelave Library Buckram No. 563). Front Cover - leave blank. Back Cover - leave blank. Spine - name, thesis title (abbreviated to fit if necessary), degree, and year of final submission; you can download an illustration of what your thesis spine should.

Notification of Submission of Thesis for Examination. Your supervisor’s signature on the Notification of submission of thesis form acts as a confirmation: that the thesis is the result of work done mainly while you have been registered as a student of The University of Nottingham; that you have been given appropriate plagiarism guidance.
Pre-submission: Submit a PDF draft of your thesis to the University’s CheckIt service. As of January 2018, the service is managed within academic Colleges. At least two weeks before formal submission, you will need email the Taught Programmes Office administration team for your College confirming your intention to submit.

The resubmitted thesis should also be submitted to Turnitin at the same time. The resubmitted thesis must not be sent to either of the examiners prior to formal resubmission. Research Services can only accept a resubmitted thesis once the student has been formally notified in writing of the examiners' decision on the first submission.
An Intention to Submit form is required by the Graduate School to confirm that you are ready to submit your thesis within three months of the date stated on your form or by your expected submission date (whichever date is sooner). The form should be submitted to the Graduate School about 3 months.
Thesis submission Before submitting your thesis to the Student Service Centre, you must follow the correct procedures which are contained in the following documents. Please note that the Student Service Centre will be unable to accept your thesis if the correct procedures, relating to the submission and format of your thesis, have not been followed.
